The room was clean, which I appreciated, though there was no bottled water and the bathroom fan didn't work at all. The walls are thin enough that we could hear our neighbors quite well, so the stay wasn't as relaxing as I'd expected. The people were great and friendly, and service at the restaurant was good, but the food was nothing special. My husband's risotto was undercooked and flavorless. The scallops were way overpriced for just three, and the prime rib and potatoes came out cold. We didn't know reservations were needed and waited more than 40 minutes for a table. The other thing I didn't like was being charged for parking each night. Guests already pay a high price for an overnight stay, so adding paid parking feels like bad business.

Our kids loved winding down in the game room after dinner, playing ping pong, foosball, Wii, and board games for an hour. My wife and I spent two nights in a cabin at Skamania with our three boys, aged 8, 6, and 14 months. It was great, with a small kitchenette that had everything we needed, a deck with a table and chairs, a grill, patio furniture, and a gas fire pit. Everyone we met on staff, at the front desk, spa/pool, restaurants, and golf shop, was great. The train horns ran 24/7, an issue outside their control, and it sounds like work to change the laws is underway but won't fix it right away. April the manager was absolutely fantastic. She offered options, understood how we felt, and was so personable that it made the situation totally fine. My two boys and I played the 9 hole par 3. When I heard at check-in that the greens were fake, I got spine shivers, I have to admit. But I've never seen outdoor putting turf in such good shape. It played very true and was a great experience. Over those two days I lost a cap, sunglasses, and my car keys. James at the front desk went above and beyond, going into the closed golf shop and searching the carts to find my keys. He put my mind at ease by finding them after hours instead of making me wait until morning. We'll definitely come back. Thanks to April and James for making the stay extra special.

The food and drinks were a treat, and the scenery was stunning. On my first visit, I had a great experience from beginning to end, with gorgeous views as a backdrop. I'd recommend this place for a memorable outing with good food and beautiful scenery. 10/10 for me.

The price just doesn't match what you get, even though the place itself is gorgeous in a beautifully green, rainy area. Our room was clean and cozy, but by cozy I mean quite small. There were tons of kids in the pool/spa, and the spa wasn't hot. The bar restaurant was only okay. The food was just okay too, and the prices were crazy for bar food. Service was terrible, with bartenders chatting to each other while customers lined up to order, even though it wasn't busy. I won't be back. It's not worth the money.

We brought our concerns about the room to the front desk, and they moved us to an identical room down the hall. The lodge and its setting were impressive for our weekend getaway just before Valentine's, but the room wasn't. There were usage stains in the toilet, what looked like dog hair all over the sheets and duvet, and lots of dust around the bar and coffee area. For the cost, it just didn't feel clean. The food was mixed. Sometimes it was amazing, but the mushroom ravioli seemed to be sitting in a bowl of neutral cooking oil and was very disappointing. Breakfast was good, and the bar food was really good.
