Lisa kept the breakfast bar stocked with fresh fruit, yogurt, scrambled eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, pancakes, hot coffee, and juice. The desk service was excellent, too. Our room was clean and free of pet dander, which matters since my husband has serious allergies. The beds were comfortable and came with plenty of fluffy pillows. Thanks for a pleasant stay!

I travel for work and stay in plenty of hotels, and this is one of the better Holiday Inns. It's clearly well managed. The staff are consistently professional and friendly, and the rooms are always clean. The buffet breakfast is about as good as hotel breakfast gets. It's away from the busiest parts of town, but close enough to reach anything you'd need in 10 minutes or less. I'll stay here every time I'm in Stillwater.

The worst part was that nobody we spoke to had hot water for a shower. We had just spent all day at a stock show, and a hot shower was exactly what we needed. Even a group staying there in two Greyhound buses said they had no hot water. I've never had this happen at any hotel in my 65 years. This was probably the worst experience of my life, and I wouldn't expect such a bad stay in a college town. I told many people at the show they were lucky they couldn't book here. I think everyone who stayed that weekend should get their money back. We were there for a Memorial stock show with 525 participants and tried to reserve 20 rooms for attendees. When people called to book, they were told no rooms were available, but when we checked, the 20 rooms were still held under only my son's name. He explained they were meant for show participants and asked the hotel to let them book at the quoted price. I think the hotel missed quite a few reservations this way. Even my own room was wrong despite having a confirmation number. The hotel needs more staff training.

We had a relaxing stay and slept well, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was a 10/10 for a hotel. Food is often dried out and unappealing at places where I stay, but here the eggs were moist and the sausage gravy for biscuits was just right. The coffee machine was a perfect bonus. Keep this standard up and I'll be back!
