Motel 6 Stillwater

We only chose this place because the rest of Stillwater was full for graduation, and I won't stay here or at another Motel 6 again. The room and hotel were disgraceful, with a dirty smell and a look that suggested it hadn't been renovated in at least two decades. The comforter seemed just as old. There were pubic hairs in the shower when we checked in, so it clearly hadn't been cleaned. The toilet broke after every flush, and we had to lift the lid and reconnect the chain, which was pieced together with a paper clip. The shower barely sprinkled water, and it never got warmer than lukewarm.

There was no noise trouble during my stay, no rude neighbors, loud music, or fights, and no reason for police to be called. It was a very good stay overall. The owners are a family trying to make it in America, and they were the nicest foreign people I've ever met. They're humble and genuinely care. The maintenance man is amazing too.

We ended up staying for a few weeks, and the people in Stillwater made it a great visit for my family. The pool was great, housekeeping was amazing, and they genuinely cared about our stay and well-being at Motel 6. We had about everything we needed. Since it's cheap, there aren't fridges or microwaves, but I'd definitely recommend it if you're on a strict budget.

The room was small but clean, and the front desk staff and manager really impressed us. We travel with our own pillows and accidentally left them behind. Motel 6 offered to mail them to our home, but a mix-up on our end meant they didn't arrive. When we called again, they looked into it and got us a tracking number, which helped us find the pillows. They'd also told us to call back if we still had trouble, and they'd check further. A big thank-you to the front desk team and manager at the Stillwater, OK, Motel 6.
