Surf Lodge

The cottages at Surf Lodge are charming and nicely equipped, and the room was comfortable with a cozy bed. It was mostly quiet, except I could hear my neighbor's overheated phone meeting through the slightly thin wall. Still, it's a great base for enjoying Stinson Beach.

The owner and manager were absolutely delightful and incredibly hospitable. The place is immaculate and everything feels new, with waves audible from the room. Dip Sea trail is gorgeous and peaceful, and you can walk there easily. Can't wait to return, I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Parking is very limited, but I'd definitely stay here again. It's clean and quiet, close to the beach, and just right for a small beach town. The place is adorable, and having a kitchenette was great since there aren't many restaurants around.

The location made it easy to walk to the beach, a well-stocked market, and a few restaurants. We never met staff because we used keyless entry, but they were so nice: they saw our drinks and left a little drink fridge in the room with a sweet note. After a full day at the beach, it was great to come back, rinse off in the outdoor shower, and relax on the bed. We had a wonderful weekend in the smallest bungalow room. It's tight, but had everything we needed: a comfy bed, a decent-sized TV right in front of it (we're big TV people), a clean bathroom with a nice shower, and plenty of towels. If you just need a place to sleep and freshen up, this works perfectly.
