Holiday Inn Express and Suites Atlanta South Stockbridge by IHG

I keep having trouble checking in through a third party source, even though it's my right to look for a lower rate. The owner, Autumn, is biased, doesn't know how to speak to customers, and doesn't train her staff properly. She sticks up for staff behavior that doesn't comply, and some staff have told me this. Be careful with this hotel.

A real gem, and one of the nicest Holiday Inns I've stayed in. The property feels new and is well kept, and my room was clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice TV. The woman at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming. I'll absolutely come back when I'm in the area.

The room and the quiet were the highlights. It was beautifully decorated, stylish, comfortable, and peaceful enough to make me want to nap all day. Breakfast was another story. The omelet was like a worn kitchen sponge, and most of the hot food was cold. The cinnamon roll had at least found a spot under a heat lamp, while a machine spat out premade pancakes like a slot machine. I tried a boiled egg for some protein, but it was spoiled and rubbery, and I spit it out after one bite. Even the coffee tasted like bitter water, as though the beans had given up. Come for the rooms and the peace, but bring breakfast. The morning food was more horror story than happy ending.

A quiet, clean place to stop overnight on a road trip. There was little road noise, the staff were pleasant, and the usual HIE breakfast was available from 6 a.m.
