Best Western Plus Heritage Inn

I put my brother up here while he helps with the business I just opened in town, and he found a cockroach crawling by his head when he woke up. That was the second roach he’d seen, so the place seems infested. When he called for help, a security guard brought sheets and pretty much told him to change the bedding himself. Then they moved him to a tiny downgrade room with a taped-up mirror. He couldn’t sleep and threw out all his food because of the bugs. I’ve spent over $1,000 at this hotel this month, and I’ve never felt so insulted. It’s a health hazard. I called four times and the manager hasn’t returned my calls. I waited because I try to give businesses a chance to fix mistakes, but nobody seemed to care. They’ll take your money, then disappear when you report bugs in the bed. If you care about your health or sanity, stay away.

The breakfast was amazing, and the staff were very accommodating. Stephany at the front desk was especially helpful. We had a nice room in a good area, with great shopping close by. For the price, this deserves five stars. It’s even better than the Hilton down the street. I’ll definitely stay here again.

The rooms were comfortable and quite nice, and there’s a pool, hot tub, and full breakfast before 9 a.m. I stayed 12 days, but the deposits became a problem. They charged $100 at check-in, then at least $900 in deposits every day we extended our stay. I was supposed to get the money back after checking out, but three days later I’d only received $100. Be careful if you stay here. Use cash for the deposit and don’t extend your stay.

My sister and I paid for two nights, and on the first night I woke up with a burning feeling in my arms. I got out of bed and realized bed bugs were biting me. The front desk just said they were sorry and moved us one floor down. We wanted to leave, but that would have meant paying ourselves for another room and a deposit. The next room seemed alright, but we hardly slept because we kept worrying about bugs. We had to go to work the next day, and the managers weren’t there. We waited all day for a call and heard nothing. No upgrade or other help, just a move to another room. I used to love staying at Best Western, so I’m really disappointed. If you come here, check the bed first, especially if you have kids. I tried to add pictures, but it wouldn’t let me.
