We came back with our family for a second stay, hoping it would be better than last time, when a lot was broken and the hotel didn’t feel secure. This time even more things were out of service. Nobody told us the pool was closed, and we were told we could swim. After about 30 minutes, I noticed the water looked really dirty and the pool wasn’t even running. As I got out, something large and metallic touched me and gave me a bad shock. The pool light fixture was broken and floating with exposed live wires. We’re lucky to be alive. People have died from this exact thing happening. Avoid this hotel at all costs. There’s nothing working, no food or amenities, and no elevator, so good luck if you’re disabled. The doors don’t lock, so anyone can come and go. It doesn’t feel like a hotel, more like the owners’ home where they and their family stay. There should be a petition to close it down.

A woman employee, maybe the owner, opened my door before 9 a.m. without knocking, even though I hadn’t checked out. I had to tell her several times to close it. That was completely unacceptable. The hot water wasn’t working when I arrived, but they fixed it by morning.

We had an issue with the pool, but the staff fixed it and were very accommodating. I had to ask about breakfast, but the choices were wonderful and plentiful. I’d stay again.

We booked four rooms for two nights for a family wedding and checked in around 8:30 p.m. Friday. That was the only time we saw anyone at the front desk during our stay. A phone on the counter said to dial 0 for the operator if we needed help, but the phone was dead. The elevator, wall clocks, vending machine, soda and water machine, and ice machine were all out of order. Opening our room doors brought a musty mold smell mixed with strong old cigarette smoke. The mattresses were lumpy, and the pillows were basically nonexistent. Outside was a mess too. The grass had grown so high it was starting to head out, and the spring flowers were struggling among the weeds. Shutters had fallen to the ground, and several window screens were ripped. Breakfast was bad: watery eggs, rubbery sausages, and extremely stale Fruit Loops. There was nobody in the breakfast area to tell. It was a terrible experience, and I’ll never visit again.
