MetroParc 'nSuites

I travel across the country and stay in hotels all the time, but pulling up here made me nervous in a way I hadn't felt before. I’d already paid, so I stayed. The night clerk was friendly, and there was only one broken car in the lot, but screens were coming loose. Inside, the room was worse: dirty, with thin stained sheets and no blankets. The bathroom was filthy and badly in need of repair, though the room itself was large.

The handling of complaints was awful. Staff were rude when I raised my concerns, management wouldn't speak with me or return my calls, and nothing was addressed. They also charge for at least one night and refuse refunds, even when conditions are clearly uninhabitable. My room at Metroparc N Suites in Stockton was dirty and smelled terrible. The sheets were stained, the floors filthy, and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The online photos give a completely misleading impression. I also saw rats outside and heard scratching in the walls overnight, which was terrifying. I strongly advise against booking here. The place should be investigated for false advertising and possible health code violations. Don't waste your money or risk your health.

The front desk staff were pretty nice, which was the one good thing about the stay. I was on the ground floor and could hear every footstep from the people above me. The room smelled overwhelmingly of cigarettes, the worst I've ever experienced, and there were no toiletries. Even though I'd booked a two-bed room, I got just one bath towel. This place looks almost abandoned. I didn't believe the bad reviews before staying, but now I do. The positive ones must be from employees or friends. My card was charged twice for the $60 deposit, so I'll wait a few days to see whether the $120 comes back.

We were in the room for only about 30 minutes before I decided it was too unsanitary for my child and me. There were roaches, no remote, unplugged lights that didn't work, and the AC wasn't blowing cold air. When I looked for another room, staff told me all the rooms were in that condition. They said they'd note a refund, but the manager had to process it when he came in. I'm still waiting, after being promised a refund because of the roaches. I've been calling since April to speak with the manager, but they keep saying he's never in. Staff were rude as hell. The positive reviews must be from employees or friends. I didn't believe the bad ones until I stayed here. If I could give zero stars, I would. This place doesn't deserve one. Don't stay here, run!
