Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Stony Creek

I was stunned by the positive reviews. The place smelled like a public bathroom, and on the guest room floors there was a strong urine smell covered up with cleaning solution. It made me feel sick. The bathroom floors were sticky, and I didn’t feel comfortable touching anything. I tried rooms on two different floors, then left. I arrived in the late afternoon during a snowstorm and was gone within an hour, with no idea where I’d go next. I couldn’t imagine sleeping there and don’t regret leaving, though I’ve now been told I won’t get a refund. I’ll dispute the charge. I’d urge people to drive farther for a better, possibly cheaper hotel.

Melanie made check-in feel easy after a long day on the road. My husband and I were glad we stopped here for the first time. The hotel and our room were clean, safe, and quiet, and we plan to come back and tell our friends about this location. Thanks again!

I checked in just before midnight while driving up the coast. LaTonya and Collie were both so friendly, professional, and welcoming. The place was clean and pet friendly, and it looked like it may have been renovated recently. I make this trip pretty often, so I’ll probably keep the hotel in mind for future stops.

Rakita was attentive and really friendly when we arrived for our one-night road trip stop. The first-floor room was just the right size for the three of us. We skipped breakfast, though the dining area looked nice when we walked through.
