The restaurant keeps its menu small, but everything we tried was done exceptionally well. We also liked the charming little pub, with its fireplace and creative cocktails. We visited Edson Hill for a snowy long weekend with our teenager, and the property itself is gorgeous, with clearly marked walking trails. It’s close enough to restaurants and ski areas while still feeling quiet and pristine, away from crowds and cars. The management and staff were friendly and professional, and you can tell they care about the business. I highly recommend this beautiful inn.

We loved Edson Hill and can’t wait to come back for another weekend recharge. The food was fresh, creative, delicious and beautifully presented, and a big shout-out to the chef and crew. Service was impeccable from Vinny at the bar to the desk and wait staff. It’s a peaceful, beautiful escape in a secluded but accessible part of Stowe, with grounds that are stunning and snowshoeing for all ages and abilities. The whole place blends quiet elegance with a cozy feel. Our room had lovely furnishings, comfortable bedding, a heated bathroom floor and a fireplace. It all made for a relaxing, comfortable weekend.

Our server Margo was so warm and lovely, and made dinner feel especially memorable. The meals were delicious, easily five stars, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our two nights. The tavern has that dim, old-fashioned look with wood beams and leather chairs, a great place to have a drink before dinner, after it, or both. Our room was cozy, with a very nice bathroom and comfortable mattress and linens, and we slept wonderfully. Quiet, charming and relaxing. What a gem, we’ll be back and would happily recommend it.

Hospitality at Edson Hill was top notch, with every little detail taken care of before we arrived and during our stay. Our room, Let It Be, was perfect for an anniversary trip, tucked away from the main house. The property feels dreamy, cozy and charming, and pulling in made us want to slow down and enjoy the scenery. Breakfast was even nicer in the quaint dining room, and the cozy Tavern had a good selection of delectable drinks. We also enjoyed dinner in the evening. Thanks for the warm welcome, thoughtful decor and genuine service. We can’t wait to return, hopefully in winter.

Our room, Que Sera Sera in Hemlock House, was elegant, comfortable and very clean. It felt like a private little cabin, and the limited number of rooms meant the place never felt crowded, so we could relax and enjoy the property. The grounds cover approximately 36 acres, with lovely views, trees and fall leaves, horses, trails and a pond. We had a wonderful time on the patio, taking in the view by the wood-burning fire pit with a cocktail. The restaurant and bar in the Manor House are intimate, with food and drinks that felt Michelin-caliber. Every staff member we met, from housekeeping to the wait staff and bartenders, was friendly and accommodating. We’d never been to Vermont before, so my wife and I, both Chicagoans, decided to visit after hearing about fall in the East Coast. I found Edson Hill through online research, and the whole experience was incredible. It’s approximately 10-15 minutes from Downtown Stowe, Waterbury and Smugglers Notch, and approximately 45-50 minutes from Burlington Airport. We have nothing but good things to say. I was back in Chicago just a few days before recommending it to people who asked about our trip. If you’re thinking of staying at Edson Hill, you can stop searching and make the reservation. You won’t be disappointed.
