Our family of four had plenty of room in the King with pull out, even with our 10 and 12 year old kids. The kitchenette was useful, and the big armoire kept luggage and skis tucked away. The room was sparkling clean and updated. If you want a fireplace room, book ahead. Stowe Motel & Snowdrift made me, a pretty discerning hotel guest, genuinely happy. The staff were amazing, in keeping with how nice people are around Stowe, and the property looks especially beautiful under winter snow. Restaurants are within walking distance, and the bus across the road gets you to Stowe mountain in about 15 minutes, conveniently and affordably. The office has coffee and granola bars for breakfast, plus snowshoes to borrow, games, and DVDs. It’s no frills, but has what you need for a lovely trip. We’ll absolutely be back!

We had a room with no heat at first, but the staff quickly sorted it out and moved us to a suite. They made sure we were comfortable, and we were. The fireplaces in the rooms are a nice extra, and it was very quiet. Warm cookies, too! The Stowe motel is in a great spot, away from the busy village center but close to restaurants and an easy drive to Smuggler’s Notch. For an economical, comfortable stay for families or seniors like us, it’s a perfect fit.

We stayed one night on the way to Canada. The room was small but clean, and I have no complaints. The staff were friendly, and they offered towels in case we wanted to use the hot tub.

The fireplace suite was terrific after a day skiing. It had a full kitchen where we made breakfast each morning, a roomy sitting area, good sized bedrooms, and comfortable beds. There was plenty of firewood for a nightly fire. We found this place at the last minute for a holiday ski trip to Stowe and were glad we did. It’s an easy drive straight to the resort, near plenty of restaurants and bars, and has ample parking. Easy to find, friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

The rooms shook every morning at 9 am, almost like an earthquake. Maybe it was a generator, but forget sleeping in. Check-in and stay information were communicated terribly. They never explained that there’s no daily cleaning, so you’re responsible for the room for your whole stay, including taking trash to a dumpster away from the building, near a walking path by the woods. They claim to be pet friendly, but I heard complaints about pets during my stay. I’m shocked by the responses we got after leaving. During foliage viewing season the place is highly overpriced, and it feels like they choose who to accommodate and who to take advantage of. Don’t waste your time. Drive up the mountain and find a nicer, better organized, more hospitable hotel.
