Travelodge by Wyndham Strasburg/Lancaster Amish Country

The price was great, and check-in was quick and friendly. The rooms are about the size of a master bedroom, but my bathroom and the floor were dirty. I walked around the hotel and saw that the pool was green. It could be a good place if they put money back into it. Ask for housekeeping, since I didn't get it until I requested it. It's okay if all you're looking for is somewhere to sleep.

Even though I woke up 20 minutes after checkout and worried I'd be charged for another day, the owner told me not to worry. I could gather and pack my things at my own pace, without feeling rushed. I arrived at 1 AM, well after check-in, followed the instructions on the paper in the door, and the owner greeted me promptly. She checked me in quickly, and my room was spotless and well kept. The TV, shower, and mini fridge all worked great. I felt very welcome, and her dog was friendly, with the most gorgeous hair I've seen on a dog. There's a lot to do nearby, and a Rutters with beer less than 30 seconds away. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. I recommend it 100%!

A quiet, budget-friendly place that allows pets. It's a single-story building, handy for smokers and anyone who likes sitting outside on summer evenings. There's a pool, but we didn't use it. We were there to sleep and recover from our FISHING ADVENTURES on the SUSQUEHANNA RIVER!!! That's a whole different, crazy story!!! The "continental breakfast" was disappointing 😑. Aside from that, we had a very pleasant stay.

Amish buggies went back and forth all day and night while we sat with a drink on the lush green lawn and enjoyed Lancaster's simple tranquility. Our boys loved the huge "yard," and the breakfast was very good. The place is very, very dated and the rooms aren't what we're used to at our usual hotel, Hampton Inn, but the experience was priceless. We stayed here in July 2012 and we're going back this year just to relive it. Take a moment to enjoy the view!
