It’s a mediocre ski resort that’s difficult to reach, though there’s a decent amount of snow. The staff were extremely rude and the service was awful. Our room was moldy, especially around the toilet, and had bedbugs. They checked on our room every day to see whether anything had changed, even slightly, and would charge for it. The place is way overpriced because it has a monopoly in the area. One star for everything.

A+ people. We got stuck in the snow between Leland Snowplay and Strawberry Inn. Our insurance couldn’t find a tow company willing to come out in those conditions. One local company took our payment, then an hour later still hadn’t assigned a driver and eventually said they couldn’t make it that day. We called the number listed for Strawberry Inn, and owner Judith and Joseph arranged for someone to find a 4x4, clear the snow off it, and come help us, without asking for anything.

At $280 a night, I expected better. The toilet wasn’t secured to the floor, the deadbolt on the room door was broken, and the CO/smoke detector had been removed.

The room was very nice, and we stayed for two nights. There’s a great restaurant overlooking the river, plus a nice bar area with a pool table, foosball, and karaoke. It’s a great hotel near Dodge Ridge ski resort. Definitely would recommend!

The staff were rude and unhelpful when I tried to sort out my booking. It had been made for the wrong date, though I don’t know whether that was my mistake or theirs. They wouldn’t move the reservation to the date I actually wanted or apply my upfront payment as credit toward that stay. They also blamed me without making any effort to find a solution. I won’t book here again.
