The front desk staff were really nice, and the room itself was comfortable. The shower was the problem: it hadn’t been cleaned properly before we arrived, and it wasn’t draining well. Since we were only staying one night to get some sleep before getting back on the road, we didn’t call to have it unclogged or cleaned.

The bathroom had serious problems. The toilet kept running for up to 30 minutes after use, and it took the shower water as long as 30 minutes to get lukewarm. The room itself was clean, but the stay was awful. Someone in our team’s block was apparently on drugs, causing a disturbance and frightening the children. We called the front desk several times and got no answer, and the police ended up being called. The hotel provided no security. One family found drugs in their room, and another woke to a used condom outside their door. The manager only sent a generic email thanking us for the update. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The shower the next morning ran rusty water back into the tub, and when I went to report it, nobody was at the desk. That came after a rough start: I’d completed pre-check-in by phone, but had to do the whole thing again in the lobby. The room was a decent size, and the bed was clean and comfortable, though every light plug was disconnected and the TV needed reprogramming. The tub was chipped, the sink cabinet was crooked, and old towel-holder holes were still visible. The adjoining-room door was broken and could easily be opened from the other side. I asked for another room, but was told one wouldn’t be ready for an hour, so I stayed put. Snack choices were very limited, and breakfast was standard hotel fare. For the price, I’m not sure I’d recommend staying here.

Monica made check-in a great experience. She got me a lower rate than I’d been quoted when I reserved by phone, and, since I’d recently had a hip replacement, she put me on the first floor. I was in town for a pool Tournament. The room was clean and nice, and I enjoyed the breakfast. Thanks, Monica. I’ll definitely be back.
