Club Wyndham Shawnee Village - Extra Holidays

The hot tub was a great way to unwind after a long day of hiking, and the staff kept it up and adjusted the timer while we were there. They were helpful and friendly, and the grounds looked well cared for for that time of year. The beds were comfortable, and we all slept well. The rooms were clean, though not much had changed since we stayed in 2011, including the furniture, which could use an update. The shower pressure was very low in both R100 and R101. Also, the blinds should fit inside the window frames or have something on the ends to stop people seeing in, especially at the R100 window near the bath.

The living room stayed cold because the fireplace wasn't working, and water leaked from the windows onto the kitchen floor. Maintenance came and did what they could to make things livable. I liked everything else, but there wasn't much to do with so few guests around and nobody signed up for activities.

The mountain setting is gorgeous, even though I heard more traffic than I expected. The rooms looked beautiful, and the service was outstanding apart from a couple of bad apples. Since it was winter, I would've liked the fireplace to run longer than its one-hour timer.

We’ve booked with Shawnee Wyndham twice now, and there’s a lot included that makes it worthwhile. The indoor pool was a perfect temperature, opened at 7:30, and had plenty of shallow space for kids. Towels and locker rooms were available, along with a sauna and hot tub. My kids also loved the reptile show and the make-your-own stuffed animal event. The views are beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the beds and bathrooms in the villa were clean. There’s plenty nearby too: Shawnee golf resort is close, with its beer garden, and there are restaurants like Gem and Keystone plus places like Delaware Water Gap. The villas are really cute, but both we've stayed in could use new carpets and sofas. It was hard to feel that clean with the carpets in their condition. The internet was terrible, and there were lots of ladybugs inside, maybe because of the time of year. Some updates, especially to the carpets, would make a big difference.
