Economy Inn Motel

Very quiet, and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean, though this is an old motel with nothing fancy for the price. The parking lot entrance is rough and could be messy and hard to drive through in winter. The bathtub was slippery from age and had no safety bars.

For the price, the room was impressively clean and the staff were friendly. There's a microwave and fridge in the room, plus coin-operated washers and dryers, handy for a quick load even on a one-night stop. We'd gladly stay again if we're in the area.

I couldn't find anyone when I went looking for the manager, and by the time I returned to the room it was filthy. I ended up leaving in the middle of the night. The toilet had started spewing someone else's waste like a fountain as soon as I lay down, and the smell of feces was overwhelming. There was also pubic hair in the sheets. A week earlier, a friend told me there were cockroaches crawling around at night. I didn't believe a hotel could be that disgusting until I saw the sewage problem myself. I'd rather sleep outside than stay in this dump.

We arrived late and had to ring the bell a few times before anyone came out. The room was incredibly hot because the AC hadn't been turned on. Still, it cooled down enough for the summer heat, and the place was clean enough for a stop. It's close to the interstate and a gas station.
