The breakfast was really good each morning, and our room was clean. We also liked having a warm indoor pool and a dry sauna to unwind in at the end of the day. Both front desk guys were so friendly. Sturgeon Bay is one of the first parts of Door County you reach driving up from Chicago, so the trip is shorter than going farther around the bays. It’s about a 30-minute drive to the post office restaurant or Fish Bay. Having Target and McDonald’s right nearby was handy too. We’d stay here again.

The pool was nice, but the hot tub was closed while we were there. The room was 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and the food was okay. I’d give it 3.5 stars for a stay of one or two nights at most, if you can figure out how to cool the room down.

We got a room booked quickly, and for a short stay at a reasonable price, this worked well. The free breakfast was tasty, with a decent mix of fresh and store bought food. Nothing fancy, just done well. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the lobby was comfortable and looked well maintained. I was surprised to see the two star rating. The pool could use a better cleaning, though the hot tub was a nice extra.

The two night stay was a little pricey at about $489, yikes, but the room was nice and clean. The beds were comfy, the sheets were clean, the pillows were okay, and the bathroom had name brand soaps. Breakfast was continental but actually very abundant: cold cereal, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, bagels, coffee with creamer and syrups, cocoa, tea, and chocolate and white milk. There’s a pool and a jacuzzi, though I didn’t get to try them. Service was good, and it’s across from McDonald’s with stations nearby.
