We paid just $30 a night, plus a $20 nightly fee for our pet, which seemed a bit steep. Even so, the value was hard to argue with, and we had no problems. We got a jacuzzi room upgrade, which was a nice surprise. The staff we met were all kind, cheerful, and genuinely helpful, and we had no noise or other surprises. We’ll definitely return, especially for an affordable holiday stay. Thanks for making Christmas a good one! There are a few things to know: the “hot breakfast” is a waffle maker and microwave, not a full buffet. Housekeeping only comes if you ask. Extra pillows and towels are limited, though the staff went out of their way to find clean towels after we spilled something. Some features are older, but the hotel is being improved and they’re doing solid work. The property looked surprisingly good, with fresh paint, updated spaces, and more refurbishing underway.

This is a decent low-cost hotel, a little worn but clean. I brought my own food, so I can’t speak to breakfast. I got ice from the dining room for my cooler. The fridge was plugged into an outlet controlled by the room light switch, which is a pretty poor setup. The owner or manager seemed to have kids who cried a lot. I raised five, so I was able to sleep through it.

We’d booked and paid for a suite months ahead, expecting a living area, kitchen, separate bedroom, and balcony. What we got was two beds against one wall and a couch on the other, with none of those features. The man who checked us in said someone else was in the suite we’d reserved. We got our money back, but it took days to arrive. Why take reservations if you won’t honor them? We ended up staying at Hotel Sturgis instead, and they were good.

The location worked really well, and the staff made arrival easy with good communication and helpful knowledge of the area. A great experience from check-in through the end of the stay. I’ll be back.
