Holiday Inn Express and Suites Overland Park by IHG

The location made it easy to get to nearby shopping, restaurants, and local attractions. Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a workspace, and the staff were friendly and attentive from check-in onward. Breakfast was included and satisfying. The fitness center, pool, and business services were useful extras. A comfortable, convenient option for business or leisure in Overland Park.

The bathroom even had a vent, which you almost never find in hotels. The beds were nice and firm, the place was immaculate, and the staff were friendly. I’ve stayed at plenty of Holiday Inns, and this one is the best by far. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

Ali at the front desk turned things around for me. She helped move me to a higher floor, and when I realized I’d left my hoodie in the old room, she went out of her way to check with housekeeping and track it down. The reason I needed to move was the loud music from a speaker by the front driveway. My room faced the front, and this has happened on two stays. I could hear it from bed at 11:41 pm.

The room was clean and roomy, the staff were friendly, and the location was handy for restaurants and shopping in a nice neighborhood. But housekeeping banged incredibly loudly on our door at 8:30 in the morning on checkout day. We couldn’t get back to sleep. The website says checkout is at noon, which is why I picked this place so I could sleep in and take my time. That needs to be addressed. We visit family in the area often, and I’d stay again unless that happens another time.
