My Place Hotel - Mount Pleasant

I found visible blood on the floor of my room at the My Place Hotel in Mt. Pleasant, WI. I have timestamped photos and video of what I saw. After I reported it, management rejected my claim without inspecting the room and didn’t apologize or show concern for my safety. I’m a medical professional specializing in infection control, so I take something like this seriously. The response from this location felt deeply unprofessional and lacking in compassion. I didn’t feel safe staying, so I checked out late at night and drove home to Metro Detroit through a snowstorm. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone who cares about cleanliness, accountability, or guest safety.

We were in town for a soccer tournament and, after a long day in the sun, just needed to check in, shower, and get dinner. Instead, we had to find another hotel at the last minute because nobody was at the front desk either time we tried to check in. We waited, rang the bell, and called the posted number, but got no response. We had a toddler with us and couldn’t wait around indefinitely. I booked through a third-party service, which tried to reach the hotel for us. The general manager, Robert, said staff had been working and could have checked us in, even though that wasn’t what happened, and refused to refund us. The whole situation was frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend the place, given the poor management and lack of accountability or regard for guests.

We booked the same day for one night on 3/10/26 and brought our dog. They were able to honor a last-minute request at check-in and put us near the exit to the dog run. The staff at the desk were friendly and helpful, the room was clean overall, and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet, too.

I’m a truck driver with pets and live in my rig. When I visit family for an event or just need to relax outside the truck, I come here. There’s plenty of grass for my furry co-drivers, and getting to food is easy. It’s close to I94, with shopping along Washington ave, a Walmart and Walmart market nearby, and a movie theater down the road. I don’t want to bother them with my chaos.
