Bridgeway Inn & Suites Sublimity

On our first night, the TV didn’t work, and there wasn’t even a phone in the room. I went to the front desk, where Sandy said she couldn’t move us. When I said my husband would probably want to check out, she came to the parking lot and promised she’d upgrade us to a suite the next day, asking me to trust her. We checked back with her the following day and got a key, but the room was the same type, just upstairs. When I asked about the suite, she said she couldn’t do that. She also wouldn’t offer a discount for the first night. I’ve never stayed somewhere that didn’t try to accommodate us somehow. I can’t recommend this place.

Sandy at the front desk was great. She checked me in much earlier than she had to and was stellar. The room itself was fine, though the bed was pretty bad. It was what I needed when I needed it.

The setting is quiet and relaxing, but still close to everything. For a budget-friendly place with this many amenities, you usually have to pay twice as much or stay in a sketchy part of town. This place is neither of those. It’s nice and clean, and the pool and spa are gorgeous. I can’t say enough good things about the value and service. Ten out of five stars still doesn’t feel like enough. I’m sad it took me this long to try it, but it’s my new favorite place to stay. Give them a try.

The parking lot and lobby looked nice, but the room was dirty and broken. The hallways smelled of cigarette smoke, the beds were hard as boards, the nightstand drawer front had come off and was lying on the floor, and the door wouldn’t latch. The room smelled like stale smoke too, and the AC smelled like the 1980s. We gave up and called the Silverton Inn, where we found a room and left. The third-party agency is working on our refund. I think there’s a scam going on here, so be very wary. We’d booked online three weeks earlier for $109 plus taxes and fees and had paid. After driving to Silver Falls to hike, we came to check in. The woman at the counter said there was a problem with the booking company and we hadn’t been charged the right price. It was a $20 difference, so I said I’d pay it, but only after getting proof that the original reservation had been canceled and refunded. She said she couldn’t provide that, clicked around on her computer, and asked me to wait while she tried something else. While I waited, two women around twenty came in from their room. They said the same woman had told them there was a problem with their paid reservation and asked them to pay again by card. They said they’d been charged both the $350 from the booking site and another $649 on their card for two nights. The woman blamed their credit card and acted as if she couldn’t speak English well when they argued. They said they’d sort it out with their card company and went to their car. When I told the woman to cancel our booking and show me proof so we could find somewhere else, she suddenly managed to check us in and hand over a room key. Then she said she was giving me a deal.
