I’ve worked as a travel agent and owned an agency, and I wouldn’t send anyone here. The room I was moved to was even worse than the first, which they said had been remodeled. There were dead and live bugs, and broken-down vehicles all over the lot. People staying there didn’t seem to respect the place, and nothing felt maintained. When I raised it with the owners and front desk, they made patronizing comments and only offered to move me. The pool wasn’t properly cared for either. It’s far too expensive for what you get, even if you only need a place to lie down for a few hours. I don’t think it should be operating in its current condition. It needs a complete takeover or a lot of help.

This place has gone downhill since I stayed here years ago. We had to switch rooms three times after I complained once or twice. There were roaches, crumbling floors, and a mold smell. One cleaner came right into our room even though the do not disturb sign was up, and I heard a few racial comments from her as she left.

For the price, I slept well and the bed was clean and comfortable. Check-in was easy, with no hassle. My room looked out over the pool, which would have been nice if the pool were working. The room seemed to be mid-renovation, but it was usable. The tub still looked dirty around the nonslip pieces, even though it seemed someone had tried to clean it. It was decent value as it stood, and I hope they finish freshening the place up and get the pool fixed.

After more than 17 hours on the road, we just wanted to rest, but the hotel said there were no rooms when we arrived. We’d reserved one and called ahead to say we’d be checking in late; they confirmed the reservation and said it would be fine. Instead, we had to drive another hour to find a room. It shows up as two different hotels at the same address and is also known as the Nest Inn. Poor business all around. I wouldn’t waste time or money here, and I’d give zero stars if I could.

The refrigerator was leaking and broken. The front desk already knew and didn’t try to fix it or take it out of the room. The tub was covered in mold, there were suspicious-looking spots on the ceiling, and the floor felt sticky. Though it was meant to be nonsmoking, there was an old cigar under the bed with dust, grime, and wrappers. I wouldn’t stay here again even if I were paid to.
