Crystal Inn - Sugar Land

Check-in was seamless, but the stay wasn’t great, and checkout was really sketchy. My husband and I left at 7 in the morning for the gym and breakfast. When we got back at 10:25, before the 11 am checkout time, our room door was already open and propped with a bar chair. Our clothes were still on the closet hangers, and our own pillows had their cases pulled off, as if the place owned them. I went to the lobby and told the employee that we hadn’t even reached checkout and the key card hadn’t been turned in. He said sometimes guests leave without returning the card, or 90% of guests don’t close the door all the way, so that was what happened to us. I told him we slam the door to make sure it’s shut. He apologized and said he didn’t know what else to tell me. They know how to check guests in with a big smile and make you think the stay will be perfect. I wasn’t impressed. They need to change their checkout procedures immediately, today if not sooner. It’s a real problem.
