Quality Inn Summersville

The breakfast was great value, with hot food and plenty of choices: eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, pastries, bagels, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and a waffle maker. The woman managing breakfast was very friendly. We were traveling through and found an available room by walking in on a random Saturday night. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and clean, and the heat worked well. I'd recommend it and would stay again.

The staff were excellent, friendly, and helpful at both the front desk and breakfast room. Breakfast was good, hot, fresh, and kept full. The hotel was very quiet, which I appreciated. This was a halfway stop on our way to South Carolina. We'd already booked and paid for the return stay through our travel company, otherwise we'd have stayed somewhere else. The $140 rate seemed okay next to the Hampton, which cost $50 more, but next time I'd pay the extra. The rooms were average, and the hotel is dated and falling behind. We weren't told there were no elevators. The old bathtub was several feet high and had stickers in it, and my physical limitations made it hard to get in and out. The beds were rock hard and cost me many hours of sleep. The pillows were too soft, and four on a king bed weren't enough. The TV was small and old, and the wooden doors were peeling. The keys kept working, an issue I'd seen in other reviews, though staff said that can happen because of a wallet, phone, or other items. It smelled damp and old as soon as we came in from outside. Smoke from the parking lot definitely affected me.

We always stop at this hotel when we're passing through. The staff are so kind and friendly, the rooms are comfy, and breakfast is delicious.

Our group had an awful stay last night. The staff were rude and disrespectful. We've stayed in hotels and motels in more than 38 of the 50 states, and no one has treated our group this way before. It felt like a Karen was running the place.
