Hilton Garden Inn Summerville

After all the time I've spent traveling between my military and civilian careers, I can say they treat you like family here. They take time to get to know you and remember you when you return. Troy and the front desk team are outstanding, and the service is excellent. When an issue comes up, it's handled promptly and properly the first time. The facilities always feel brand new. When I'm in Charleston, SC, the Summerville Garden Inn is the only place I want to stay.

The king bed's base didn't seem wide enough for it. It looked like a queen-size platform, and left the mattress and box spring edges unsupported. I mentioned it at checkout and hope they fixed it. I stayed May 14, 2026, in Room 205, I believe. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

I slept very well thanks to the blackout shades, and even being near the elevator, my room stayed impressively quiet. It was spacious, as was the bathroom, with good lighting and a comfortable layout. The room was clean and well kept, in line with the Hilton standard I'm used to. I didn't use the amenities, but the hotel has a gym, fast, reliable Wi-Fi, plenty of lobby seating and a computer station for printing. The location felt safe and convenient, with food and shopping within walking distance. I had a pleasant stay at Home2 Suites and would consider coming back.

The location is great, but I wish I'd had a better stay and hadn't spent my money here. Both rooms we tried were dirty and had no bathroom ventilation. The air got foggy right away, and the room smelled like mold. I gave the hotel another chance, thinking perhaps it was just the first room, and asked whether it had ventilation. They said yes, but the next room was dirtier and still had no working exhaust. Housekeeping also barged in at 9 a.m. while I was still asleep. They knocked, woke me, then came in without warning.
