Turkey Hill Inn

Maria came right over when I called because the bedroom was too hot. It was 60 degrees outside, and the temperature had been changing by 20 degrees through the day. She opened the window to let the radiator heat out, turned off the building’s heat, and brought linens so I could sleep on the folding bed in the cooler living room. We stayed in the first-floor suite at the Turkey Hill Inn in November. The old building is lovely, the street is quiet, and it’s easy to walk to downtown Summit restaurants. The bed and furniture were comfortable, and everything was clean. It felt like staying at grandma’s house, if your grandmother had beautiful antique and mid-century furniture.

The Victorian house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, with lovely details and everything we needed. Check-in instructions arrived well ahead of time, and they checked in with us to make sure we’d arrived safely. I found the bed and pillows really comfortable and slept well for a few nights. Best located hotel in summit!

The housekeeper was lovely, discreet, and polite, and did a wonderful job. The bathroom was a little small, but just the right size for a shorter person. It’s a beautiful place, and being right down the road from the train station makes getting to NYC easy. I’ll definitely recommend it to family and friends.

I grew up in Summit, so staying at the Turkey Hill Inn felt like coming home. It’s a charming place, just steps from downtown Summit, New Jersey. The room was wonderful and the bed comfortable, and both check-in and check-out were easy. The hospitality exceeded our expectations.
