Candlewood Suites Sumner Puyallup Area

We were here for a long family stay during a business trip, and the staff and managers, including Mrs.Desiree Reed, were polite and friendly. The hotel was spotless, with no pet smell even though it allows pets. We loved the free laundry, morning coffee, and convenient location, and the view was great too. There are negatives, but I’d rather focus on the good because this place is great. Highly recommended!

You’re surrounded by mountains, and the free laundry area for guests made it easy to get a good rest. If you want a kitchen, I’d recommend this hotel. Eddie Desiree were helpful, and the housekeeping women were exemplary. Thanks for a great experience.

The road noise from Hwy 167 was loud and constant, and the staff were very pleasant. The bed and linens were clean, though the bed may not have enough support if you have a bad back. If you like a soft bed you can sink into, it should suit you. They allow pets, but be aware you may be put in a damaged suite and charged extra for having one. They also don’t waive fees for Emotional Support Pets, even with medical documentation, unlike most hotels. I’m sure the microwave being left uncleaned from the previous guest was just an oversight, but it was gross and unexpected.

The room itself was clean and really nice, but I had the worst hotel stay. The bathroom fan sounded like a motor running all night. When I complained at the front desk, the guy said they all sound that way and it’s normal. I can’t accept that. Looking at other reviews, I don’t think that can be true. If it were, nobody would stay or leave a decent review. I usually never post reviews, but after a night like that I have to let people know. Unless you sleep very deeply, don’t bother staying here, especially if you’re hoping to get any sleep.
