Dexter's Inn

Being able to have our guests stay right there, with the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all on the same property, made wedding planning so much easier. There was even a showroom of décor rentals. Our guests kept talking about the gorgeous setting and how warm and helpful the staff were all weekend. We wanted time with our friends and family to feel meaningful, and Dexter’s Inn helped make that happen. Beth and Maria answered our questions and gave us guidance throughout the planning, then made sure the day itself went smoothly. They’re wonderful to work with, and everyone else on staff was just as welcoming and helpful. Having the whole property for the weekend gave us an experience we’ll always remember. Choosing Dexter’s Inn was easily the best decision we made while planning our wedding. We’re so grateful for it, and can’t recommend it enough to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxed outdoor wedding venue in New England.

The family who owns this place made us feel like one of their own. They were so genuinely kind and welcoming. The building feels cozy and inviting, and the location is gorgeous. I can’t say enough good things about it, and highly recommend staying here if you’re in the Sunapee area.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. We stayed at Dexter’s Inn for a weekend of skiing at Sunapee. The owner was responsive and the service was great. I’d recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

The setting is lovely and the property is beautiful for a wedding. My concern is a separate, non-itemized “gratuity” charge Dexter’s Inn tried to collect without disclosing it. They described it as a housekeeping tip. I got the fee reversed, and I’ll be reporting it to the FTC and CFPB to help protect future guests. I’d recommend refunding everyone from the most recent wedding party as well. Based on a May 2025 ruling, I believe fees like this are illegal and classified as “Junk Fees” by those agencies.
