Wonderful 2BR Ocean Reserve-Pool/Tennis- STR2068 by RedAwning

I stayed in condo 803, which was clean and very well furnished, and the hosts were amazing. The building is in a quiet spot, with the beach just across the street and easy to get to. The oceanfront view at sunrise is immaculate. Would highly recommend!

Before arriving, I paid a $33.00 deposit through Priceline. The email I received said to contact Martha, identified as the manager, when I got there. I called the number provided and Maria answered. The front desk later said Maria owned the units, while Maria said she was only a manager. They both used the same number, so it was confusing and unclear who was responsible for the charge. Maria charged my card directly when we arrived. The first unit was unacceptable and unsanitary. It smelled strongly of sewage, had bloodstains on the couch, a leaking toilet, and hair and visible stains on every bedsheet, which looked unwashed. Appliances were dated and had burn marks on multiple surfaces. After we reported the problems, staff brought replacement sheets and told us to change them ourselves. No cleaning or meaningful fix was offered. We took the issue to the front desk and were brought to the building manager, Shahidah. She told us to “raise all hell” but offered no solution or refund. We spent about four hours on the phone with Priceline and Booking.com. Both said they couldn't issue a refund because we had paid Maria/Martha directly. Maria then refused a refund, saying she was “just a manager,” which contradicted what the front desk had told us. She offered another room as the only option, and with no reasonable alternative available, we accepted. The second room was slightly better but still had serious problems: toilet paper with feces in the bathroom, dated and poorly maintained appliances, and a faulty key that kept us from accessing the garage and pool. Don't stay here. It's not a hotel, and it's not run through the building itself, which means no one takes responsibility for the quality of your stay.

The beach is only about a five-minute walk away, and there are plenty of shops and things to do nearby, so I never felt bored. Maria Bordeianu was such a welcoming host, friendly and incredibly hospitable, and she keeps the place clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting. ☺️❤️

The penthouse has breathtaking views, and the quiet neighborhood with a lovely park nearby made it a great spot to unwind. Maria Bordeianu was a wonderful host, polite and easy to reach. I’d happily recommend staying here.
