The rooms are dirty and smell bad, and management is poor. Keep an eye on your card because the hotel keeps charging it. When we called to ask about the charges, they wouldn’t answer. They picked up blocked calls only to hang up when I asked about the billing.

Affordable, clean, and no bugs. It’s not the Ritz, but the price is good, the TV works well, and management responded when I asked for things.

My room was clean, I slept well, and every employee I met was truly kind and helpful. I still felt safe and enjoyed the service, despite being around a lot of people who made me uncomfortable. I travel a lot, and this is one of those hotels around the country where many vacant rooms seem to be occupied by people living there or using the place for other purposes. I say this respectfully and kindly toward the staff, because they can’t control who stays there. The hotel deserves a better community. This kind of thing is happening everywhere now, not just in Portland, and I’m sure it affects many businesses. I hope it changes soon. I’ll stay again, and I’m grateful for the good service despite the disheartening people in the community.

Nobody was in the office when we arrived to check in. I called the posted number four times without an answer, then gave up and went to another hotel. There were people using drugs on the balconies and in the parking lot, and the whole place felt uneasy. I wouldn’t recommend it, and I’ll dispute the room charge on my card.
