This is one of my favorite places to stay around here. You can walk to just about anything you might need, including Whole Foods, Target, and lots of different food options. Parking is free, well lit, and feels safe. The rooms are very affordable, and the staff really make an effort to help with what you need. I’ll stay here whenever I need a room in the area.

Matthew in customer service patiently and kindly helped me sort out a mistake with my booking. I wasn’t able to get there efficiently, and he also helped me deal with Airbnb, which didn’t want to release my refund. I’d already had several calls with them about the reservation, so I really appreciated his help.

The staff were lovely, but I had a terrible stay. My ground-floor room was so noisy that I could hear water running through the drainpipe all night. I went outside and filmed it because at first I thought it might be music, but it was just constant dripping. The hotel felt very old, and the poor soundproofing meant earplugs still didn’t help me sleep. I’m a light sleeper, too.

No bueno. The staff were nice, thankfully, and they moved me when my first room smelled damp and nasty. But the hotel overall feels dark and depressing. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I only stayed here for a work trip because everywhere else was unavailable. The room was surprisingly small for California, but I could live with that. The noise was the real problem. There seemed to be gatherings nearby all night, with loud music and people talking. I’m writing this at 3:36 a.m., and people are still yelling outside. My window faced the parking lot, so there was no privacy. During the day I couldn’t open the curtains because people in the lot, or staff from nearby businesses taking cigarette breaks, would stare straight into my room. Avoid this location if you can.
