Homewood Suites by Hilton Sunnyvale-Silicon Valley

I was here for just over two weeks on business, and the daily parking fee was the one real drawback. It adds up fast over a longer stay, so factor that extra cost into your budget. That charge cost it a star for me. The front desk team was consistently friendly, professional, and quick to handle questions or requests. Check-in was easy, and that kind of help matters when you’re away for weeks. My suite was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the property still feels almost new. Housekeeping kept things in order, and the common areas were clearly looked after. Breakfast was standard Hilton fare, reliable and convenient for busy mornings, though nothing special. It’s a solid Sunnyvale option for extended business travel, and I’d return, keeping a closer eye on parking costs.

Free breakfast is delicious, too. The rooms are very clean, service is professional, and Monique is so sweet and always there when you need something. There’s a gym, a media center room with TV, a pool table, a barbecue pit area, and a pool and jacuzzi. Parking is underground and feels very safe. This is the best place to stay in the San Jose area. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Thanks for all you do to keep guests happy!

I stayed a few nights and ran into several problems. Dead flies kept dropping from the vent until the floor was covered. The sink drained very slowly, and the fridge made a loud noise every few minutes, waking me even after I’d fallen asleep. The entrance door let in both light and sound, so the room stayed bright at night. Since I was near an exit, I also kept hearing doors open and close and people coming and going. I told reception. One night someone cleaned and switched off the fridge, but they said the hotel was overbooked and offered no solution. Another night I asked someone to clear the flies from the floor and was told there was no service that night. I’ve attached a few photos.

The rooms are like mini apartments, and there are plenty of amenities. I was impressed with this place, especially compared with other hotels in the area. Tailey was a gem from the moment I walked in. I’ll have all my staff stay here when they’re in the area.
