Superior Inn

There was a Kwik Trip right across the street, which was handy. We arrived during a blizzard, so some of the outside doors were locked, understandably. The first floor was being renovated, but we could still use the pool and hot tub. 👍🏻

The hot tub wasn't working, and nobody could tell us whether it would be fixed. Had we known, we wouldn't have stayed. We were also given a different room setup than the poolside adjoining rooms we'd reserved. Our son, who has special needs, had been excited to have his own room and invited his girlfriend to come eat across the street with us. Instead, they moved his room across the hall and gave his original room to someone else. He can't stay by himself, so his dad had to be apart from us. A horrible stay in so many ways, and I'm very disappointed with the new management.

The floor felt lumpy, like walking over pebbles, and the heat and air unit sounded like a jet engine starting up. There were stains on the bedding, peeling walls, missing trim, and Kilz spray painted around the tub base to cover mold. The room also smelled musty, moldy, and of cigarette smoke. You get far worse than what you pay for. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone except a health inspector. Save yourself the headache and sickness and book somewhere else.

The pool and sauna were nice, and the furniture there looked fairly new. Staff were friendly and accommodating. I stayed the first weekend of October 2025, while the hotel was rebranding and remodeling. They said it should be finished by mid 2026, and I look forward to seeing the place after the work is done. For now, though, the rooms look dated and the beds are worn out and lumpy. The vanity had a chunk missing when we entered, and the tub and shower faucet was worn and leaked continuously. Luckily, we could close the bathroom door, so it didn't disturb our rest. The fridge we put our drinks in didn't work. It seems to be on a switched circuit, but there was no sign explaining that, and the only switch was by the room entrance. Breakfast was very limited, and when I went to get food, all but one yogurt had expired on September 19th.
