Comfort Inn & Suites Suwanee - Sugarloaf

I'm still at the hotel as I write this, but I'm checking out a day early after losing a night's sleep. The room I first checked had traffic noise from every car and truck on the highway, so I moved to one facing away from it. That room was noisy too: people upstairs ran around and screamed for hours, then put on a TV loud enough that I could hear their movie and couldn't fall asleep. I called twice and went to the desk, but the noise never stopped. The person in charge said he'd called the room and that was all he could do. There doesn't seem to be a way to keep things quiet here. This has been my worst hotel stay. Book at your own risk.

We rushed over and got there at 2 pm, but couldn't get into our room because nobody was working at the front desk. There was a lobby full of people waiting. A cleaning lady told me no one could help until 3 pm, even though it was only 2:18. Our reservation had ended a day earlier than we thought, and they had called while we were an hour away to tell us to get our things out by 3. We asked to add one more night but were told they were full. I even tried calling the desk to bring someone up front. It was very frustrating.

The rooms look great after the renovation, with modern furniture, new carpet, and new beds. Mine smelled fresh and clean, and the bed was really comfortable. I'll be back, thank you!

I arrived around midnight on a business trip and went straight to bed, exhausted. In the morning I found several baby cockroaches in the bathroom, which made it seem like there might be a bigger pest problem. At checkout I told the front desk right away and asked for the manager. She was visible in the office but wouldn't come out or discuss it. Instead, the desk gave me a business card and told me to call a corporate 800 number. Nobody apologized, explained, or showed concern. I had to clean all my clothes and thoroughly disinfect my luggage before taking it home. The situation disrupted my business trip, and it could have been avoided. The room condition and the manager's dismissive response were unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend this place to business travelers or families expecting basic cleanliness and professional service.
