Quality Inn Suwanee I-85

The room was clean and nicely appointed, and we got checked in quickly with our Choice online reservation. The older PTAC was noisy at first, but it cooled the room fast and quieted down afterward. Breakfast was a minimal effort, with microwaved egg and sausage. Everything else was as good as what you put into preparing it. It’s an older motel, but clean, well remodeled, and maintained. We were greeted politely at the counter. Being a Choice member has its moments, and this was one of them. A solid, good experience.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and the room got cleaned pretty much every day with fresh linens and towels. On the first night I thought I’d have to leave a bad review because the room smelled of cigarettes, but by the second day the odor was gone. It may have come from guests ignoring the no-smoking policy. I didn’t see any roaches. Beetles tried to get in, and one did, but my door had been wide open. The bathroom is a little old-fashioned but worked fine. There’s a great ice machine and laundry on site, and breakfast was 10/10. The location is convenient to highways, back roads, and restaurants. I had a great stay, though I didn’t get to try the pool. Thank You!!!!

The room smelled bad, so we asked to move. The staff were accommodating and very nice, but the second room also had an unpleasant odor. We’d traveled all day, so we stuck it out. Breakfast was decent, with eggs that looked like little pancakes and sausage, plus cereal, coffee, Pop-Tarts, muffins, toast, and orange juice. Nothing fancy. I wouldn’t recommend staying unless they renovate the rooms, which definitely need updating.

We stayed all three nights in May 2025, though the smell in the rooms never improved. The first room smelled awful and looked rough too, with a worm in the tub and a ceiling in bad shape. The front desk worker was happy to move us, and the second room was in somewhat better condition, but it still smelled bad. I thought about finding another hotel, but my son said he could handle the odor as long as he could sleep. The breakfast was decent for a budget hotel: frozen egg and sausage patties, cereal, bread, muffins, coffee, orange juice, Pop-Tarts, and more. The front desk worker was nice and helpful, and a woman in the breakfast room kindly brought us a couple of things to eat when we arrived a few minutes after breakfast had ended. I wouldn’t stay again unless the rooms were upgraded or properly cleaned.
