The room looked decent from a distance, which is the one reason this gets two stars. Up close, though, both showers were foul: black slimy mold, old soap bits, and barely any pressure from the dirty showerheads. We both came out feeling grimier than before. I was there one night for work and had a room for myself and one for my coworker. My job pays, but I still won't return. I'd rather drive unpaid to Iron Mountain or Rhinelander than stay another night here.

The dogs and I needed somewhere to stay between living situations, and I'm really grateful this place could take us in. The room is roomy, clean, and modern, with a sitting area by the entrance that helps keep the dogs apart from the main room and cuts down on noise. I haven't had noise trouble, and people have been friendly and considerate. The beds are comfortable and clean, breakfast is simple but tasty from 6am-9am, and the place has an easygoing feel. I also like having Spectrum cable on two TVs, one in each room. The pool is broken, which costs it a star, though I can't leave the dogs alone to use it anyway. The ice machine was down too.

The water pressure was a joke, and the shower never got beyond lukewarm. The pool and hot tub have apparently been closed for a long time, maybe for good. The sheets felt like 80 grit sandpaper, and the half and half for coffee was curdled and dated September 25, 2025. It was relatively clean, which is about the only positive I can offer. Avoid it if you can. You've been warned.

We left at 7am the next morning because we needed to use the toilet and it wouldn't flush without water. This was the night of 11/26/2025. Earlier, after finding the pool and hot tub closed, we paid to upgrade to a king suite so we could at least relax in the whirlpool tub. Only after we'd paid did they tell us there was no water in the room, though it was supposed to come back later. As a chef, I know this raises health code concerns. They shouldn't be taking guests without running water, and I don't see how they were washing and sanitizing while making breakfast.

I had to change the two dirty sheet sets on the pullout bed myself. There were also wrappers under the bed and crumbs beneath the pullout couch, so the room clearly hadn't been cleaned well after the previous guests. The pool was closed, and the spa tub was dirty too. Even the coffee maker wasn't clean when I wanted coffee. For what they charge per night, this was disappointing. I won't stay here again, and I'd rather drive the extra 40 minutes.
