Edenfield House

April makes homemade body butters, beef tallow, and soaps, and I couldn’t resist them. They smell delicious and leave my skin as soft as a baby’s bottom. She and David are such a down-to-earth couple, and their warm hospitality made us feel at home while they shared a little of their lives with us. The quiet, quaint feel gave us a kind of peace we’ll remember for years. The Edenfield House was just right for celebrating a mini-honeymoon with my newly betrothed. We’ve both decided this bed and breakfast is our home away from home.

The breakfast is my favorite part. April makes homemade pancakes, the bacon is locally sourced, and the eggs are so good they’ve got me wanting a chicken. You might meet some great, interesting people at breakfast too. I always leave smiling. I stay weekly for work, and the room is clean, spacious, quiet, and has its own bathroom. The sheets are AMAZING. April and David were welcoming from the moment I booked, and I haven’t seen a single roach. Days Inn has roaches and is loud. I haven’t tried the other hotel nearby, but I’ve heard bad things. The Edenfield is my best kept secret, and I’ve been hesitant to review it because I want it to be available when I need it. But I can’t keep being selfish. This is THE place to stay in Swainsboro, whether you’re here for work or to relax. April also makes natural soap. My son has excema and stole ALL of mine because it’s so good. Staying here is an experience, not just a place to sleep, and one I want to repeat.

The innkeepers have a way of making you feel like you’ve come home after a long day. You can sit on the porch and “set a spell,” and the grounds are beautifully kept. The beds are comfortable, the decor is lovely and well maintained, and breakfast is excellent. I could go on, but try it yourself and you’ll see what I mean.

I’ve stayed at Edenfield House three times now, and I’ve already booked future visits. April and David are wonderful hosts who go out of their way to accommodate you. The property is beautiful, the breakfast is lovely, and the spacious, clean rooms have a homey feel. I’d recommend it to anyone.
