My room was filthy and didn't look like it had ever been thoroughly cleaned. There was writing on the wall, and water started filling up in the shower. Four wheelers revving through the night made it almost impossible to sleep, though I know that's not the motel's fault. Absolutely horrendous. Stay anywhere else you can, unless it's the Bates motel.

The owners at Sylvania Inn were extremely kind, and they gave us lots of useful information about the area. My family and I found it affordable and very comfortable. It's a cute spot in Sylvania, GA, and I'd recommend it to anyone traveling through Georgia.

The staff have been friendly and polite, and they've helped me well with several issues since I first wrote this review. The rooms are somewhat run down, and service on those matters could be better. Still, if you need a place to rest in a decent location, this is definitely the best choice around here. :)

The room had been remodeled recently and was tastefully done. We slept well in the comfortable king bed, and the pillows were great. The receptionist, who I assume was an owner, was especially gracious when we arrived. I had called The Sylvania to ask about availability and was warmly welcomed and assured they'd have a room. My husband and I hadn't booked anything because we hadn't planned to stay at The Augusta National for the most thrilling Masters Tournament EVER! We were driving from Augusta, GA to Tampa, FL on dark back roads after a long day, tired and ready to stop, and I'd felt a bit nervous about the hotel choices. This older motel was safe and clean, with wonderful service and an amazing price. Don't be nervous about staying here!
