The staff were kind and attentive, and Steven and the banquet-area team were especially nice to work with. Breakfast and the food at beach time were served warm and looked good. We stayed two nights, and the room itself had problems. There was no fan or circulating air, so after a shower it felt like a sauna. I saw black mold around the windows, the bathroom was cramped, and it needed updating.

The hotel is handy for the hospital and university, and one of the few places nearby where I could find a room with two beds. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. Parking in the lot costs $10, but the value was good. I’d stay again if I’m back in the area.

David, the front desk supervisor, turned my first night around. It was November and freezing in Syracuse, and my shower was only lukewarm. He found me a lovely room with a properly hot shower, and his attitude made the rest of my stay great. The location also worked perfectly for me, close to the University, restaurants, and coffee shops. The queen single rooms are very small, so I’d spend a bit more for a king suite. I’ll plan to stay here again.

I picked this place for its location near SU and Upstate Med, but the stay was rough. The water pump broke, so there was no hot water, and the shower pressure was very low. The lobby looks nice, while the rooms feel outdated, like college dorm rooms. There’s an old dusty radiator and what feels like fake central air, with a thermostat that only makes you think you’re in control. There’s no fitness center on site, and services and amenities are very limited and only available on certain days. It may do if you just need somewhere to sleep for one night, but I’d pay extra for a better hotel. I’d suggest the Skylar, Marriott, or Aloft.

The staff were polite, but college kids hollered through the night. Our sheets were ripped and frayed, and the pillows were tiny and uncomfortable. There was no fridge or microwave, and the room stayed too warm with no way to control the temperature.
