The room had a fridge and microwave, and the bed and pillows were soft enough for a comfortable night before our flight. We arrived late, but the women at the front desk were attentive and welcoming. Everything looked cared for and smelled clean, from the lobby through the halls and into the bathroom. They even had some fun Halloween decorations up. It’s not the Ritz Carlton, but for the price it’s a clean, proud little hotel that met and even beat what I expected. I’d recommend it.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with a huge range of things to pick from. There’s also a nice pool and a small gym that’s decent. The room was pleasant, and both the staff and the other guests I met were friendly and easy to talk to. I had a good stay and would come back.

The building had people lingering around it and in the hallways, and I saw a young woman nodding off on the curb right by the entrance. I wouldn’t recommend bringing children here. We were first put in suite 181 because we had a service animal, then charged $55 for dog cleaning. I don’t think the room had been shampooed or deep cleaned after a pet, because the smell was awful and Lysol didn’t help. Suite 180 was better. The AC in 181 wasn’t working, but they installed a replacement within an hour, so credit for that. I should have left and accepted the loss. If you book, do it directly, since a third party reservation may mean you can’t get your money back. I won’t stay here again.

For one night on the road, it was okay. The room was clean, the mattress comfortable, the towels in good shape, and there was plenty of hot water. I checked the bed for bed bugs as soon as I arrived and didn’t find any. There were a few ants around the toilet base, though. I’m used to battling ants at home in Indiana, so I can’t say whether that means the place was dirty. The highway is right nearby, which makes getting on and off easy, but trucks were noisy. Better windows and an HVAC setting that could keep the fan running while heating might help with steady background noise. There’s no elevator, and the bathroom is tiny.

The rooms were insulated well enough that freeway noise wasn’t an issue, and the gallery was clean. It’s a decent budget stay in a good spot, though both the facilities and management could use work. The restaurant was closed for part of my stay, even though I’d been promised a working kitchen and limited room service when booking. Staff tried their best with breakfast, but without the kitchen it wasn’t enough. The reception desk was constantly busy, and I waited about 15 minutes for help each time.
