Comfort Inn Tacoma - Seattle

I was there on June 20, 2019, and had a very nice stay. The room was clean and had what I expected, and the front desk clerk was courteous and friendly. It’s near the freeway, which was handy, but far enough away that I didn’t hear traffic. I’d stay here again if I’m in the area.

I found the room spacious and comfortable, and the staff were accommodating. The central location does come with some road noise. A couple of cleaning details were missed, including soap scum in the tub and a dirty, torn guest pamphlet. The fridge being off was more frustrating: I had food to keep cold, and it took ages to chill. Still, it was a pleasant stay and about what I expected.

We came for the high school football championships and had a pleasant stay. The room was very clean, and the pool was nice for its size. Breakfast was the usual free hotel spread, but having something hot before the long drive home was much appreciated. I’d come back.

The room was spotless, the AC worked better than any hotel air conditioner I can remember, and it was quiet, with no door slamming or outside noise. The outside and location had me expecting less, so it was a pleasant surprise for the price. I did take off a star for the $100 deposit, which seems ridiculous. I worked in hotels and resorts for three years, and we didn’t require guests to leave money for incidentals. The desk staff were curt, though not rude, and not especially friendly.
