The bathrooms are huge, and I could adjust the heat just the way I wanted. It’s a really comfortable, affordable place to stay. Don’t let the inn/motel appearance put you off, especially in winter. It has everything you need and feels like a hidden gem.

There was a jacuzzi for the kids, plus mini bunks they loved in the family suite. I slept peacefully in the king bed in the next room. We were six people, and the suite worked out perfectly. Subway and a delightful coffee shop are just one driveway away, which made things very convenient.

The room was cozy, with simple, tasteful decor, and you can walk to everything from this great location. The motel look at first might put you off, but this is one of Tahoe City's best hidden gems. It’s a good-value, convenient spot for a restful night before heading out for mountain adventures or water sports.

The kitchenette sink was tiny, and you can hear the second floor creak when people move around upstairs. We managed since they went to bed around 10-12PM, though you might prefer a second-floor room if one is available. We stayed over Labor Day weekend in the Dormitory, with the extra kitchenette room for our family, and the rooms were clean and spacious. This is a very basic 2-star Inn, not an upscale hotel, so I think it was great for what it is. The location is excellent. There’s no daily housekeeping and the office isn’t open 24 hours, but that’s understandable when you’re trying to keep costs down. I’d stay again on our next visit.

The beds were a little smaller than I expected, but the rooms were clean and the staff were friendly and quick to respond. I found this to be the best value in north Tahoe by far. Free paddleboard rentals saved us money and gave us a fun, convenient activity. The pier, restaurants, and commons beach are close by too. I highly recommend it as a budget stay.
