Raj was nice, and breakfast came with the stay. The food was good for what was offered, though at 6:45 the eating area still had its lights off and a closed sign, and the juice machine wasn’t working. The decor is older, and the beds felt a bit too soft for me. For one night, the price made it doable. I’ve had better stays and worse ones.

The beds were comfortable, and the workers I met were willing to help, but there didn’t seem to be enough staff. People had to cover multiple jobs, and by 7 a.m. on the second breakfast morning they’d run out of eggs. The room and building key cards took at least three tries to work. I understand it’s summer in Tallahassee and the hotel had fewer guests, but they still need enough people to do the job well. That’s why I’m at four stars.

I stayed for two nights, and the room and hotel were great when I checked in. The front desk woman was cheerful and pleasant even though I arrived around 9 p.m. My only issue was that housekeeping skipped my room after the first night. It was fairly clean since I’d just eaten a late dinner and gone to bed, but they could at least have made the bed and replaced the towels.

This place used to be decent, but now the bedding wasn’t clean. On the last night, they only made the bed and took the dirty towels; the bathroom wasn’t cleaned, and there were no fresh washcloths or hand towels. When I asked at the desk, she said they had none. She was sitting in the lobby talking, and I thought she could have washed some, even if it wasn’t her job. How can a hotel have no clean towels for guests? The breakfast wasn’t good either, and the pool was dirty.
