I work in hospitality, and I can’t believe rooms this bad are still out there. We had no hot water for a shower, mold in the shower, and hair on the floor. There were five cigarette burns in the bedspread, even though the rooms are advertised as 100% non-smoking. The phone didn’t work, and neither did the WiFi, despite having a password. We tried to get breakfast, but the office was closed with a sign saying it would open at 9 a.m., despite the advertised free breakfast. We never got a receipt. The room was horrific, with too many nasty things to list. See the photos.

We drive trucks hauling oversize loads, and our options were limited tonight. The woman in the office was very nice, but there were bugs in my buddy’s room. I haven’t seen any in mine so far. We had no choice but to stay. All the furniture is rotten. She said she usually has a crew of fifty trucks here, though there’s hardly anyone around. This place is nasty.

I needed help from the front desk twice during my two-day weekend stay, and the staff took care of both things right away, going above and beyond. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and we had clean towels both days. It’s almost within walking distance of the interstate, and the Vicksburg casinos are an easy 15-minute drive away. I was very happy with the hotel and will definitely stay again.

We checked in late, took a look around, and a few minutes later told them we couldn’t stay because the room was so dirty and in bad shape. The host said she didn’t have our money and told us to contact Expedia. Expedia refunded us, but the owner still wants to keep a $25 cleaning fee. She didn’t offer another room, and I doubt they had one anyway. The toilet had an old dirt stain, there was a hole in the shower, mold in the AC unit, dust all over the carpet, and the restroom light didn’t work. At booking, breakfast was listed as available, but at check-in they said there’d be none because there was no staff. There was stuff everywhere in the lobby. Really? This hotel needs repairs and a remodel.

The water in the bath was brown when I turned it on in the morning. I must have been too tired to notice the night before. I’d been driving all day on July 28, 2024, and stopped because it was convenient and I’d stayed at other Super 8s. Since the lobby was closed, I had to use the night window. If I hadn’t been so exhausted, I would’ve kept driving. The furnishings were worn out, the carpet filthy, and the bed coverings looked like Goodwill discards. I showered and went to bed. This was the nastiest place I’ve ever stayed. It needs to be torn down.
