Comfort Inn & Suites Fort Lauderdale West Turnpike

My wife and I had a clean, comfortable room, and it was her first time staying in a hotel, so we enjoyed that part. The front desk ladies were great, though the rest of the staff seemed rushed and dismissive. We could only watch cable, so I went to a local Home Depot and bought a Roku stick to use Netflix and YouTube. The pool was dirty, with leaves, bugs, and dirt around the area. My wife had been looking forward to swimming, but her very sensitive skin made that a no. Clean up the pool area and add streaming options to the TV, and this would have been a five-star stay.

Both times I've been here, the service has been just as good. Annastassia at the front desk was especially polite and ready to help, which made us feel comfortable. The place is kept tidy, and the bed is incredibly comfy. The breakfast worker was always helping guests get their meals, and the food was wonderful and high quality. They keep that area clean too.

From the moment we entered, the room had a very strong, stale, disgusting smell. We complained right away and asked several times for a room change, but the staff did nothing and offered no real help. The room was poorly maintained, felt dirty, and clearly hadn't been cleaned or aired out properly. The stay was stressful and uncomfortable, and it ruined our trip. The customer service was dismissive and unprofessional, as though these complaints were normal. This place shouldn't charge guests to stay in those conditions. I'd never return, and I strongly warn others to stay away. There are much better options nearby. Don't waste your money or peace of mind here.

The bathroom was dirty, with urine stains on the toilet seat. The room smelled moldy, and the AC made such a loud noise that it was hard to sleep. The hotel feels outdated. At least the ice machine worked, though the fridge didn't keep drinks cold.
