I don’t usually write reviews, but I’m grateful for Inose’s professionalism and wonderful customer service. She handled several things at once with real poise, helped with every need, and made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. She represents hospitality at its highest, like, wow, she’s amazing. I’m very satisfied with her service, and she deserves this recognition.

The in-room kitchen setup was the best part: a full-size refrigerator, microwave, and two-burner cooktop made meals easy and affordable, and the room had enough space for two or three guests. I hadn’t planned on staying long-term at Woodsprings Suites in Tamarac, but unforeseen circumstances made the stay much longer. The place feels more like an apartment complex than a regular hotel, with many long-term residents. The property’s condition and atmosphere were extremely disappointing. There were roaches in my room when I arrived, and it took weeks to address them; in the end, I handled it myself. The bathroom was outdated, rusty, and showed signs of mold, which I also had to clean. The building allows pets, which is good in theory, but common-area cleanliness isn’t enforced. There was often trash and even used condoms on the grounds, so walking around felt uncomfortable. People loitered at every entrance, weed smoke was regularly in the air, and children roamed the halls at all hours of the night. The parking lot was poorly lit and had no cameras. Someone tried to steal parts from my vehicle, but there was no surveillance and nothing could be done. Side and rear doors stayed unsecured, giving anyone, including non-guests, unrestricted access. Safety is a major concern. There are known prostitution activities on the fourth floor, and management knows about it but has taken no action. Law enforcement is frequently at the property. BSO might as well be on call. Some staff did their best. Elson, the manager, may seem brash at first, but he’s one of the few trying to help within limited authority. Treat him with respect and he returns it. Matthew at the front desk was professional, courteous, and consistently respectful. Tina was friendly and did her duties well, though guests often took advantage of her kindness. The General Manager was the opposite: he didn’t communicate, avoided direct responsibility, and left staff to handle matters he should have dealt with. I tried several times to contact him and never got a response. His leadership was ineffective at best and negligent at worst. This property has potential, but security, cleanliness, oversight, and management accountability need immediate attention. Until those major concerns are fixed, I can’t recommend it for either short or long stays. One star, and that’s generous.

There were cockroaches in the room and bugs in the fridge. I slept in my car rather than share a room with roaches. The front desk was closed for the night, and staff wouldn’t be there until 9 a.m., so I couldn’t raise the problem in person. I paid $200 just to shower and use the toilet in the morning after spending the night in my car. I could tell the staff clean the room, but bugs are still bugs. The hallways smelled of cleaning product and weed, and cars were parked in the load-in zone. The whole experience was awful and ruined the start of my vacation. I’m canceling my future Woodspring reservation and would advise booking elsewhere.

Absolutely disgusting. After driving 10 hours, exhausted, I booked the first hotel I found on Google with a reasonable rate because I only needed one night. A roach crossed the kitchenette counter as soon as I walked in. In the bathroom, there was a dead roach on its back by the sink, and another crawled across the bed. The shower head was missing, the bed linen was stained and had hair on it, and the chair was ripped with much of its faux leather covering gone. I travel quite a bit and have never seen anything like this. There were also sketchy people hanging around in the parking lot, blasting loud music and smoking weed. This place should be condemned.

It was a cold Friday night, and Tina at the desk was polite and professional. She arranged for me to get another room or have the heater fixed so it worked properly. The rooms were extremely clean, the location was great, and security was excellent. I felt very safe.
