Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa East (Casino Area)

Chris was friendly and helpful when I checked in, and the hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, too. It’s about 5-7 minutes from the Hard Rock and cost $200 less. The room faced I-4, though, and despite the hotel being set back from the highway, we could still hear a lot of traffic noise. I’d only stay here again if I knew I could get a room on the other side of the hotel, away from I-4.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and you can tell the employees take pride in making guests’ stays go well. This was one of the best Hampton Inn locations I’ve experienced. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m in the Tampa area.

This was by far the worst Hampton experience I’ve ever had. I waited 30 minutes in the lobby just to check in. Then I had to leave and come back to add a card for incidentals, which shouldn’t have been charged since the hotel allows dogs. My room was decent, but a guest on the other side of the wall woke me up, and the room shook so badly I was uncomfortable and upset. I was placed right by the elevator, and despite having my service dog, I wasn’t on a bottom floor. I spent half the night awake because of the elevator. I’m a Hilton Honors member and understand that preferences can’t always be met, but no one even asked me. Checking out was just as frustrating. I stood there for 20 minutes while a woman talked about disciplining her children, trying to return my key and leave. The front desk agent never acknowledged me standing there.

The hotel has been remodeled recently, and the rooms look modern and clean. Breakfast was ready at 6am and there was plenty of it. Keep in mind, early check-in costs $40, and housekeeping only comes every two days.
