Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel

We’ve stayed here four times and have had a great experience each time. The staff are the standout, from the valets to the front desk and housekeeping. Natalia at the front desk and Ana in the Club Lounge deserve a shout-out for being so attentive. Rooms are clean and roomy, with comfortable beds. There’s plenty of equipment in the gym, and the pool and hot tub are clean with lots of deck space. Valet service is great, and the well-lit self-parking area has plenty of spots. You can walk to lots of restaurants and shops at the International Mall in two minutes.

The warm atmosphere made this feel like one of the most welcoming hotel stays I’ve had in a long time. I travel often, and the Renaissance Tampa actually felt like home. At check-in, the hilarious, friendly team got into football banter with me. I’m a Cowboy fan, one of them roots for Philly, and we laughed like old friends. The food and bar staff were wonderful, even with our busy conference group keeping them hopping. I liked the concierge club snacks before dinner, and breakfast was fresh and tasty, with real eggs. The clean, inviting areas were lovely, especially the outdoor atrium and its comfy couches. Someone even took a great lobby photo of me that I now use in my emails.

The food was amazing, and the kitchen staff deserve cheers. When an unexpected car repair kept me away, the banquet manager and team saved my buffet meal until I got back. The front desk also extended my stay so I could return after picking up my car and load my things. Everyone went out of their way to help with different needs during my conference. Matt, thanks for helping me out the multiple times I lost my drink container! The bar staff were friendly too. Since I unexpectedly had to travel alone, all of you made the trip comfortable and enjoyable. You’re awesome, and I hope you’ll still be here when I come back. Thank you so much.

The shuttle driver was amazing, and Julia at the front desk was very sweet and helped us check in. Our flight arrived early enough for us to catch the shuttle, but it only runs until 11 PM, which is worth knowing if you’re booking a late arrival. Before reserving at Renaissance Tampa Internation Plaza Hotel, I called because the online listing said airport shuttle was complimentary and available upon request, but didn’t give hours. The man who answered sounded rushed and said it ran 24 hours, so we booked. Two days before our trip, an email said the shuttle stopped at 11 PM. I called Katie and explained our flight was due at 10:30 PM on January 23, 2026, and we might not reach the shuttle area in time. She said it ended at 11, and suggested Uber or canceling. I pointed out that our reservation was just days away and asked how we could cancel and find another hotel. I also heard they sometimes run a shuttle for Southwest Airlines employees until 1 AM.
