Roaches, and fire trucks have come twice while I’ve been here. In the three weeks I’ve stayed, there have been constant problems. The upstairs, where I lived, was closed, half the amenities were broken, and I couldn’t use the pool or gym because the government closed floors 6-8 as unsafe. The City of Guam posted notices in the hotel. My curtains fell off the walls, and the humidity was bad enough that I have to get a new birth certificate. I asked the day before the move, before work, whether I’d have to change rooms. I explained I needed sleep until 2 p.m. because I had work, and asked them to move me then if needed. They said no, then forced me to wake at noon the next day to move. I was furious and got no compensation. The downstairs corner room was nice, but the situation still sucked. The price has gone from $500 a week to $120 a day on my phone after rebooking, a $20 per night increase despite losing gym and pool access because of maintenance. My friend booked the same days for less using the same links and process, so I don’t understand that. Reservations also kept disappearing from the system, with staff saying it was $144 a night because I was booking in person. If it happens, I’d hand over cash for the exact amount and go to bed instead of standing there to sort it out. They won’t run a card unless it’s an online booking or you pay the full $144 for not being “booked online.” I’ve also had an online booking canceled while I was at work, when my email was only accessible on the laptop I didn’t have with me. Be careful. A couple times they said my reservation was for January, not tomorrow. I book one or two days at a time since the government shut down half the hotel, just in case. This stopped after I started taking screenshots and keeping the links handy.

The bathroom was one of the best I’ve had at this price, and the room looked great. Check-in was quick, though you have to pay a deposit to cover possible theft or property damage. Kmart is within walking distance. The view was, well, not much.

The room felt humid as soon as I walked in, and mildew smell came from the AC vent. The bathroom needs an overhaul: the tub was broken, the faucet leaked, and the sink was broken too. It felt unsafe to use. This hotel needs better amenities and bathrooms or tourists won’t choose it. Check the photos. I’m worried about the health conditions here.

We planned to stay four nights but left after two because of the room and service. On check-in it was clear the room hadn’t been cleaned properly: dust was scattered around and there was a dead cockroach in the corner, so I had to call the front desk to have it cleaned. A strong musty smell also set off my allergies, and I was sneezing all night. Worst hotel I’ve stayed in.

We booked in advance for a guest with medical needs, confirming both a wheelchair-accessible room and paid early check-in before 6 AM. Neither arrangement was honored. The accessible room wasn’t ready when we arrived, and staff put the guest in a temporary room that was filthy, with used tissues and clear signs it hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest. Moving again was too stressful and difficult for him, so he had to spend the whole stay in a standard room without accessibility features. The booking was meant to provide safety and comfort, and the hotel’s failure ruined that. When we complained, they denied responsibility. It was stressful, unsanitary, and deeply disappointing, especially for travelers with disabilities.
