Quality Inn & Suites Tarboro - Kingsboro

We were out of state, didn't know the area, and it was too late to go looking for another hotel, so we felt stuck. They said someone would come change the sheets, but nobody showed. Now we're trying to reach corporate about getting our money back and just getting excuses and the runaround. The second room was nasty too, with stained sheets and a blanket marked with brown stains. It looked like nobody had washed anything. The first room was somehow worse: roaches on the walls, floor, and in the bathroom. I've never wanted to run straight back out of a room so fast. It was disgusting and creepy. We called the front desk to ask for another room. The night staff got an attitude when we asked her to bring the key upstairs and stay while we checked it. After the roach situation, why would we trust a room swap without looking first? This place is filthy, poorly managed, and disrespectful to paying guests. Don't stay here.

The location is great, and the employees are wonderful. They can't help what they've been handed to work with. The rooms were really clean, but the place is old, very run-down, and badly needs renovation. The elevator had dirty sayings marked on it and smelled like pot, while the halls smelled of smoke.

The staff were friendly, and our room was nice and clean. We'll definitely be back.

Everything was very clean, though a little worn, and the staff were cordial and helpful. I did find the bathtub difficult to use, with high sides and a basin that's too deep. It isn't ideal for older people.
